Dedicated server FAQ
How long does provisioning take?
Standard configurations on Ryzen and EPYC Genoa/Turin platforms are automated and ready within 2–4 hours. Highly customised builds (extra RAM, GPU, non-standard storage) may take 24–48 hours while we assemble and test the hardware.
Can I change RAM, storage, or network later?
Yes. Contact support to schedule a maintenance window. We can add/remove disks, increase RAM, or upgrade the network port. Scope of work and any one-time fees are confirmed before changes begin.
What RAID configurations are supported?
Software RAID (mdadm, ZFS) is available on all platforms at no extra cost. Hardware RAID controllers (LSI/Broadcom) are available as add-ons on EPYC servers for RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 with battery-backed cache.
Do I get full root/admin access?
Yes. Dedicated servers are fully self-managed by default. You have complete control over the OS, kernel, firewall, and all installed software. IPMI access is provided for out-of-band management.
Which hypervisors can I run?
Proxmox VE is offered as a free preinstall. You may also install VMware ESXi, Xen, KVM, or Hyper-V. The EPYC Turin platforms are ideal for dense VM hosting with 32–64 physical cores.
Is there a setup fee?
No setup fees on any standard dedicated server configuration. Custom hardware sourcing may incur a one-time fee quoted before order confirmation.
What locations are available?
Dedicated servers are available in all 11 Super Lambda regions. See the server locations page for latency guidance and datacenter details.
How does traffic billing work?
Inbound traffic is unlimited and unmetered. Outbound traffic is unlimited subject to fair-use policy. Australia and Japan locations may have region-specific transfer rates — check at checkout.
